Unilever Rus
Award for the outstanding contribution to the development of Russian-Dutch economic relations
The company is one of the key foreign investors in Russia’s economy with over €2.5 billion capital expenditures so far. It has been on the Russian market for almost 25 years. 8 000 staff are employed in its offices and four major industrial clusters throughout the country – in the Tula region, where the food and ice cream are manufactured, St. Petersburg with tea, cosmetics & household production lines, Yekaterinburg, the center for cosmetics production, and Omsk with another ice cream plant.

In 2014, Unilever Rus opened a new production facility in the Tula region and a Customer Collaboration Center in Moscow featuring a Knowledge Center to facilitate exchange of ideas and new technologies. Last year, a letter of intent was signed between Unilever and the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo in the field of sustainability, and on May 15th this year a Sustainable Business Lab was opened as a result of this collaboration. The project is aimed at evaluating the sustainable growth rate of the key sectors of the Russian economy, and accelerating the transition to a sustainable business model, including through smart regulation.
