N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie
laureate of RusPrix 2008 in nomination "Outstanding contribution to the development of Russian-Dutch economical relations"
N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie is a gas infrastructure company. Gasunie owns one of the largest high pressure gas pipeline grids in Europe, consisting of 12,000 kilometers of pipeline, dozens of installations and approximately 1,100 gas receiving stations. In 2005, gas throughput totalled more than 95 billion cubic metres.

Through its Gas Transport Services B.V. subsidiary, Gasunie provides the management and development of the gas transport network. Gasunie also offers other services in the gas infrastructure field, including gas storage.

Gasunie operates safely, efficiently, profitably and sustainably. Partly because of the reliability and strategic location of the Gasunie transport network in relation to growing international gas flows, the Netherlands can grow to become the ‘gas junction’ of North-West Europe.

Gasunie has three main divisions:

Gas Transport ServicesGas Transport Services B.V. (GTS) is a fully owned subsidiary of N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie; however, it performs its tasks fully autonomously, as required by law. GTS’s mission is: autonomous provision of gas transport services to promote a well-functioning liberalized gas market. GTS is responsible for the management, operation and development of the national transport grid on an economic basis. It ensures sufficient transport capacity, balances the grid, and creates connections to other grids. GTS has special responsibilities for public tasks regarding the small fields policy and supply warranties.

Gasunie Construction & MaintenanceThe Construction & Maintenance division is responsible for the asset management of the gas transport grid. Its activities include maintenance and construction works.

Gasunie Participations & Business DevelopmentThe Participations & Business Development division focuses on the development of new business activities and participation in international projects. Its subsidiary, Gasunie Engineering & Technology, provides consultancy, research & development and engineering services. BBL Company (60%) and EuroHub (33.3%) are also part of this division.
